FINT mocca is a pendant lamp with a steel shade shaped as a shallow cone, 50 cm across and 15 cm tall. The shade, the cylindrical 6 × 6 × 8 cm ceiling canopy and the whole finish are held in a mocca shade — a warm, muted brown — and the fitting hangs on a black cord. It weighs 1.9 kg. How big it is and how high to hang it The maximum drop measured from the ceiling is 200 cm; the cord is shortened to the length needed during installation. Over a table it is usually set so that the lower edge of the shade ends up 70–80 cm above the tabletop — the light then covers the whole surface and the shade does not block the view of people sitting opposite. A 40 cm shade keeps good proportions over a table 80–90 cm wide, so this 50 cm cone is meant for a correspondingly wider top. The canopy is 6 cm across and covers a standard installation box. How much light it gives, and how it is directed The light source is built in permanently and supplied with the lamp — no bulb has to be bought once it is hung, but none can be swapped in either. The module draws 7.5 W and delivers 1186 lm, roughly half as much again as an old 60 W bulb, at a colour temperature of 4000 K: a neutral white with no yellow or blue cast. The light opening inside the cone is covered by a honeycomb mesh that limits glare — the diode does not shine straight into the eyes when the lamp is seen from the side, from below the rim of the shade. A dimmable TRIAC driver is included, so the fitting can be wired to a dimmer; the dimmer itself is not supplied. Build and where it belongs Shade and canopy are steel, painted a single matt colour. The manufacturer intends the lamp for above a dining table, above a kitchen island and for the seating area of a living room — wherever a fitting hangs over a defined surface.
