RIO 78 is a chandelier built as a single ring 78 cm across from a black aluminium profile. The luminous band runs along the inner edge, and the fitting hangs on three thin transparent wires plus the supply cable led out of a round black canopy. How big it is and where to hang it The ring is 78 cm in outer diameter — worth holding against the width of your table or the free space under the ceiling, because a hoop that size needs room around it. Over a table the bottom edge usually sits 70–80 cm above the top; mid-room, high enough to walk under. The suspension is adjustable and reaches 150 cm below the ceiling at most. The canopy is round, 24 cm across and 2.5 cm deep. The fitting weighs 5.05 kg and the parcel 5.2 kg — at that weight the fixing has to reach a load-bearing part of the ceiling. How much light it gives and in what colour The built-in LED module draws up to 33 W and delivers 4231 lm, roughly five times an old 60 W bulb. That is enough to serve as the main lighting of a large room rather than to fill in a corner. 3000 K is warm white, and a colour rendering index of Ra 93 keeps fabrics, wood and food in their true colours. The module is built in and supplied with the fitting, so no bulb is bought separately; it is one continuous light point running round the whole circumference. Power supply and control The fitting runs on 230 V / 50 Hz and is protection class I, so an earth conductor is required in the ceiling box. In the standard version it runs at full output — dimming is not built in. It can be ordered with a control system: remote, app, DALI or PUSH DIMM, chosen at ordering rather than fitted later. Materials and what it is meant for The profile is aluminium in black, the supply cable transparent and the canopy black like the ring. The lamp is made in Poland and carries a five-year manufacturer warranty. In the RIO collection the same ring also comes as a flush ceiling light and a vertical pendant, and the chandelier is built from two or three hoops as well — this is the single-ring version.
