Six G9 points instead of one ALEXANDRIA spreads its light across six G9 sockets arranged in a circle 40 cm across. That makes it a different thing from a ceiling light with a single source under one shade: six separate points cast six overlapping cones, so the shadows in the room come out soft and multi-directional rather than hard. The manufacturer permits 6 × 42 W — the maximum for a G9 cap, and 252 W of connected load with halogen lamps. In practice nobody fits that today: six G9 LEDs at 3–4 W each add up to 2000–2500 lumens, which is what a living room needs, at a draw of around 20 W. Gold metal, clear glass The structure is gold-finished metal and clear glass. That pairing has a concrete optical consequence: colourless glass does not hide the lamp, so the light source is visible and becomes part of the composition, while the gold surface bounces the light back with a warm reflection and scatters it further. Choosing the bulb therefore matters more here than in a fitting with an opal shade. Clear glass suits decorative lamps — spherical, or with a visible filament — and a warm 2700–3000 K harmonises best with gold. Cool-white lamps make the gold read as grey. Dimensions and installation planning The fitting is 40 cm across and 31.5 cm deep. At that size it is a clear feature of the ceiling without taking the headroom a pendant would — which makes it usable in rooms of ordinary 250–260 cm height. It weighs 4.7 kg, no problem on a concrete slab, but in a plasterboard ceiling it needs a batten or a cavity anchor. IP20 restricts it to dry interiors — it is not suitable for the shower zone of a bathroom. The collection ALEXANDRIA is a family that also includes the pendant P0556-06D-V7V7 with the same six-point construction and the wall light W0556-02A-V7V7. That allows coherent lighting across several rooms, or pairing the ceiling fitting in a hallway with the pendant over a table without mixing styles. Lamps are not included — the manufacturer permits both classic and LED G9 sources.
