Endon Axis Chrome LED Wall Light 76658 IP44 640lm 6500K

Name: Endon Axis Chrome LED Wall Light 76658 IP44 640lm 6500K
Brand: Endon

Endon Axis 76658 is a horizontal bathroom wall light with a narrow illuminated bar and a rectangular wall plate. Its plastic body has a chrome-effect finish, paired with a frosted diffuser rather than a clear shade. Straight edges and a compact central support give it a modern, minimalist appearance.Check the space above your mirrorThe fitting measures 40 cm wide and 4.2 cm high, with a projection of 12 cm from the wall. Compare those measurements with both the width of your mirror and its distance from the wall. If you have a mirrored cabinet above the basin, check the door-opening clearance as well: a shallow-looking light does not automatically clear every cabinet door.Axis is a wall-mounted fitting, not a clip-on attachment for the edge of a mirror. Its horizontal outline can follow the top of a mirror without introducing a large decorative shade above the washbasin.Cool white light, with the source includedThe integrated LED module is rated at 8 W and 6500 K. This is a cool, daylight-white colour temperature, so consider how it will sit alongside the other lighting in your bathroom. The manufacturer specifies 640 lumens. Use that figure when comparing light output rather than judging brightness from the length of the bar alone. Both the light source and control gear are integrated, so there is no separate bulb to choose. The fitting is non-dimmable and is not intended for connection to a wall dimmer. It is therefore unsuitable if dimming is a requirement for this position.Bathroom installation requirementsEndon specifies IP44 and suitability for bathroom zone 2. Installation in zone 1 is permitted by the manufacturer when used with a 30 mA RCD. Have an electrician assess the exact position against local regulations; IP44 does not by itself permit installation anywhere in a bathroom. The Class II fitting connects to a 220–240 V supply, and its instructions specify domestic use. Disconnect the power and allow ten minutes for cooling before cleaning. These installation and care requirements should be considered together with the dimensions when replacing an existing mirror light.Show more
