RODAN 3076 is a wall lamp with a flat, box-shaped body in chrome-plated steel. Its underside is closed by a panel of opal glass, and that is where the light comes out. The body measures 200 mm across, 70 mm high, and projects 90 mm from the wall. How much space it takes and how it lights At 200 mm wide the fitting sits on a narrow strip of wall, and the 90 mm projection is the figure to compare with the clearance you have where the lamp will hang — in a hallway or beside a bed it decides whether you can walk past without brushing it. The top and sides are solid steel, so light leaves the housing only downwards, through the opal glass. It lights the strip of wall below it and the space directly underneath rather than the whole room — this is supplementary lighting, not the main source. Which bulb it takes The fitting takes one E27 bulb on a 230 V supply. No bulb is included, and the manufacturer caps the wattage at 15 W — LED bulbs stay well inside that: a 15 W LED gives considerably more than 800 lm, which is more than the old 60 W incandescent. You choose the colour of the light with the bulb: 2700 K is warm, slightly yellow light close to a traditional bulb, 4000 K is neutral white. Dimming depends on the bulb and the dimmer, because the fitting is an E27 lampholder wired straight to the mains. Finish and the other sizes in the series The body is chrome-plated steel and the diffuser is glass. The mirrored chrome picks up its surroundings and the colour of the wall, so the lamp reads differently on a white wall than on a dark one. It is intended for dry interiors.
