AMAS O432FL-01GF1 is a garden bollard 80 cm tall and 8 cm across: a graphite aluminium cylinder finished with a tinted glass tube and a flat cap. The glass unscrews from the top, and under it sits the holder for a single E27 lamp. How tall it is and what the installation needs 80 cm is roughly the height of a table top — light falls from there downwards and sideways, lighting the surface along a path rather than a whole bed. The body is only 8 cm across, so the bollard takes almost no room at the edge of a path. The manufacturer's instructions have the base bolted to a prepared concrete foundation with the supply cable brought in from below, out of the ground — work to plan before the surfacing goes down. The fitting is class I, so it needs an earth connection. It weighs 1.29 kg. The glass is tinted, so the light comes out subdued, and the filament visible through it reads as a distinct point of light. Gardens usually call for 2700–3000 K, warm light; with tinted glass part of the output stays in the glass, so a dim lamp will look decorative rather than useful. How it stands up to the weather IP54 means protection against dust and splashing water from any direction — the bollard may stand in the open, but it is not meant for flooding or for immersion zones. The manufacturer permits −40 °C to +50 °C, which covers a full winter. The body is aluminium and the diffuser is glass; both take UV without going matt, unlike plastic.
