A flat bar above the mirror ALFAJAR is a wall light reduced to a single horizontal bar 36 cm wide and only 4 cm tall. The body is aluminium finished in matt black, and a narrow acrylic slot runs along the front edge where the light comes out. The ends of the bar are cut at an angle, so from the side the fitting reads as a thin wedge rather than a square box. That geometry has a practical consequence: at 4 cm tall with a flat profile the fitting casts no shadow of its own on the wall and does not foul cabinet doors or a mirror frame. 650 lumens from 10 W The LED source is permanently built in and supplied with the fitting: 10 W, 650 lm, that is 65 lm/W. The manufacturer gives the colour temperature as 3000–4000 K — from warm white to neutral. That is a range in which the light stays friendly for an evening bathroom while remaining clean enough to render skin tone naturally in the morning. 650 lm spread along a 36 cm slot gives soft, diffused light down the whole edge. The figure suits mirror lighting in a small or medium bathroom; in a large room treat ALFAJAR as a complement to the ceiling light rather than a replacement. IP44 — and what that means in a bathroom IP44 means protection against solid bodies larger than 1 mm and against splashing water from any direction. In practice that permits mounting in a bathroom outside the direct water-jet zone — above a mirror, above a basin, on the wall beside a shower enclosure. It is not, however, a fitting for the inside of a shower or above a bath in the immersion zone; those require a higher rating. The final position is always confirmed by the electrician doing the work. Construction and installation The aluminium body does two jobs: it stiffens the fitting and carries heat away from the diodes, which at this small a section is a condition of the declared life. The acrylic cover diffuses the light and hides the individual diodes, so no points are visible in the slot. The fitting weighs 1.2 kg, mounts on the surface of the wall and runs on 230 V.
