The Topo Athletic Traverse 2 is a hiking shoe designed for longer adventures and technical terrain. With a total stack height of 30 mm at the heel and 25 mm at the forefoot, it provides medium cushioning with a 5 mm drop. A ZipFoam™ midsole delivers the cushioning, while an FKT insole complements the construction. For reliable ground contact, Topo uses a Vibram® Megagrip outsole. A forefoot rock plate provides additional protection on rocky and uneven sections. According to Topo, the Traverse 2 is engineered for thru-hiking and features durable high-abrasion mesh. For the second generation, the durability of the collar liner has also been improved. The Universal Gaiter System is another new addition. Unlike many neutral models in the Topo range, the Traverse 2 is classified as a stability shoe and therefore provides added guidance.
