Originally, the axle's torque arm is mounted to the chassis behind the wheel arch using a rubber-mounted connection. After decades of use, the original rubber mounts become porous and corroded, and new ones are rarely available. These rigid mounts directly replace the rubber-metal mounts, creating a rigid connection between the body and rear axle. This allows you to replace the defective mounts at a manageable cost and simultaneously improve your vehicle's sporty setup. The stiffened support reduces the vehicle's pitching behavior. Relative movements between the body and axle are prevented, resulting in a more rigid vehicle. The axle carriers are milled from a high-quality steel alloy and galvanically zinc-plated. The necessary mounting hardware in the required material grades is included with the rigid rear axle bearings. Matching these torque strut bearings, we also offer axle tube bearing blocks under part number #1152 .
