MORELOS Luces Exclusivas Desk Lamp LE43690
MORELOS is a desk lamp made of metal in a gold finish. A plain vertical post stands on a round, flat base; a horizontal arm reaches out sideways from it and ends in a flat disc, with an opal glass sphere hanging beneath. The manufacturer's dimensioned drawing gives 68 cm in height and 32 cm across. How much desk space it takes 68 cm is a height comparable with a monitor standing on a desk — set that figure against what is already on yours, because the lamp lights from above and should not end up behind the screen. Across the desk the fitting occupies 32 cm, measured from the edge of the base to the end of the arm. The arm reaches out to one side, so the light falls next to the base rather than straight onto it: the surface the lamp lights is further away than the spot it stands on. The base is flat and round and the lamp simply stands on the top — there is no clamp and no fixing to the edge of the desk. Which bulb you have to buy The fitting has a single G9 socket and no bulb is included, so you buy one separately and you decide the colour and brightness of the light. The manufacturer gives a ceiling of 5 W for that socket, which narrows the choice to small G9 sources; it is a wattage for lighting a work surface rather than a whole room. The opal glass sphere covers the bulb on every side, so no bright point is visible while you work and the light is spread softly downwards and to the sides. The fitting runs on 230 V and is intended for indoor use. Materials and form The body is metal in a gold finish and the shade is glass. The gold is matt, with the character of brushed brass, and it repeats on the base, the post, the arm and the disc — the white sphere is the only part in another colour. The form is modern and reduced to a few plain shapes: a circle, a straight line, a disc and a sphere, with no ornament and no visible screws. A lamp of this height and this arm reach is meant for working at a desk, for a study and for reading.Zobraziť viac
