MEMO METAL 100 is a narrow console in powder-coated steel finished in RAL 3020 — a clean signal red. It measures 100 × 30 × 75 cm: a top as long as a small table, a depth of just thirty centimetres, and a height matching a standard desk. A drawing in tube, not a solid The whole piece is a frame of slim box-section steel, closed at the top by a solid sheet-metal surface. The sides and back are filled with diagonal braces forming a clear X — they stiffen the frame and are at the same time the only ornament this piece of furniture has. The effect is that the console does not wall off the room: you look straight through it, and in a narrow hallway that is the difference between cramped and open. It is worth saying plainly what is not here: the console has no shelf, no drawer and no storage space of any kind. It has one usable surface — the top. This is furniture for standing a lamp, a vase, your keys and two books on, not for putting anything away. Where it works Thirty centimetres of depth is a hallway dimension — the console fits where a chest of drawers no longer will. The classic uses are a corridor wall, the space behind a sofa back, a stand for a television in a small room, or a dressing table paired with a mirror. The 75 cm height also lets it serve as a narrow laptop desk, if you do not need full-width legroom. The colour is decisive and should be treated as such: RAL 3020 is a saturated red that acts as a single accent in a neutral interior. If the piece is meant to blend in rather than stand out, the same console also comes in white, black and gold, and as MEMO SOLID WOOD with a wooden top. The piece is not a stock item — the manufacturer builds it to order and quotes up to 25 working days. In practice that is about five calendar weeks.
