GRANDE LED 35 is a large flush ceiling light, 37.5 cm across and only 8.6 cm deep. The opal glass shade sits inside an open black frame built from two metal hoops joined by upright struts — the glass stays visible from the side, so the fitting does not disappear into the ceiling the way a plain disc does.IP44, so it can go over the shower and the basinThe fitting is rated IP44: the housing keeps out solid objects from 1 mm upwards and resists splashing water from any direction. In a bathroom that means it may be mounted in zone 2 as well — above the basin, beside the tub or over the shower enclosure — not just in the dry part of the room. IP44 also earns its keep in a kitchen above the worktop, in a utility room, and in a covered porch, where an ordinary indoor fitting collects steam and deposits.How much light it givesAt 24 W the fitting delivers 1700 lumens, about 71 lm/W. That is enough to be the only light in a bathroom, hallway or dressing room of roughly 7–9 m². 3000 K is warm white — a shade close to the old incandescent bulb and noticeably warmer than neutral 4000 K, so the mirror and the tiles avoid a cold clinical cast. Colour rendering is CRI 80.Opal glass rather than bare diodesThe diodes shine through a full shade of opal (milky) glass, not a clear panel. The glass spreads the light across its whole surface, so there are no pinpoint reflections in the tiles below and no harsh glare when you look up at the ceiling from the shower. Glass also wipes clean easily — in a bathroom that is a real difference from plastic diffusers, which go cloudy under cleaning products.The LED is built inThis is an integrated LED fitting — there is no bulb to unscrew and nothing extra to buy, and the driver sits inside the body. The other side of that coin: at the end of its life the whole fitting is replaced, not just the source. The manufacturer declares 30,000 hours, which at three hours a day works out at roughly 27 years.Mounting and variantsThe light mounts flush, straight onto the ceiling, and runs on ordinary 230 V — no separate transformer or controller is needed. It weighs 3090 g, so in plasterboard it is worth hitting a stud or using cavity fixings.
