VT-9001RD is an aluminium recessed frame for a GU10 lamp – round, 90 mm across and 60 mm deep, finished in black inside as well as out. The manufacturer classes it as deep anti-glare: the lamp sits far back in the barrel and the aperture is closed by a honeycomb louvre. What the louvre is for A honeycomb is the simplest way to cut glare in a spot fitting. The mesh blocks the direct view of the source at normal viewing angles, so from eye level you see a dark opening instead of a bright point – while the light still goes down. Together with the matt black interior it produces the effect of a fitting that disappears: the ceiling reads as empty and the worktop or the picture is what is lit. What is in the box The frame alone – no light source. Inside is a GU10 socket that takes any GU10 reflector, V-TAC's own LED spotlights included. Colour temperature, wattage and beam angle are chosen separately and can be swapped years later without touching the ceiling. Installation The cut-out is 80 mm and the visible ring 90 mm – the flange covers the edge of the hole. The recess depth is 60 mm, so that much clearance is needed above the ceiling board, plus slack for the cable. Two steel spring clips hold it: push it into the hole with no screws, and pull it back out the same way when the lamp needs changing. Where it is used IP20 places it in dry interiors. Deep anti-glare fittings earn their keep wherever you would rather not see the light sources: living rooms, bedrooms, meeting rooms, restaurants, and shops where the light belongs on the goods and not on the ceiling. The aluminium body carries heat away from the lamp better than plastic versions.
