s.luce Echos is a set of eight glass shades hung in two rows from a black rectangular canopy measuring 160 × 25 × 4 cm. Each shade is mouth-blown, 18 cm across and 20 cm tall, with horizontal rippled ridges. In this version the glass combines three colours: brown, smoke and clear. What size table it suits and how high to hang it The canopy measures 160 cm, so the fitting covers a tabletop longer than 160 cm — above a shorter table the bar overhangs the edges. The shades sit in two rows, which puts light across the full width of the top rather than only along its centre line. Each pendant's cable is 150 cm long and is shortened during installation. Above a dining table the bottom edge of the shades is usually set 70–80 cm above the top: the light then covers the place settings without shining into the eyes of anyone seated. The fitting weighs 13.6 kg and is protection class I, so it needs a load-bearing ceiling fixing and an installation with an earth conductor. What light it gives The shades hold eight E27 sockets. Bulbs are not included — they are chosen separately, within the 40 W the manufacturer states. The fitting is dimmable but carries no dimmer of its own: bulbs marked as dimmable and a dimmer in the installation are both needed. Brown and smoke glass passes less light than clear glass and tints it, so brightness and tone differ from shade to shade in this version. Because the glass is see-through, the bulb stays visible — its shape and colour are part of how the fitting looks. Build The shades are glass; the bar and the suspensions are metal in black. Mouth-blowing means wall thickness and the pattern of the ripples vary slightly between pieces — no two shades from the same run are identical.
