Märklin 39535 Locomotive model Preassembled HO (1:87) - Märklin
It was the most-produced locomotive type in Europe and the product of a brutal conflict: The German class 52 wartime locomotive. From 1942 onwards, more than 7,000 machines rolled off the production lines of many well-known locomotive factories. It was a simplified but rugged ten-coupled tender locomotive that was designed for universal use. A typical feature of most series was the self-supporting tub-style tender, whose material-saving design allowed it to be produced in large numbers. The Viennese Steifrahmentender or solid-frame tender is not so well known but equally striking and, with over 1,000 units produced, was widely used. Its wheels were rigidly mounted in a frame, whereas the tub-style tender, like most other tender types, ran on trucks. The class 52 is now a must for model railroaders who are interested in recounting this important chapter in German railroad history on a small scale. Thanks to its unusual appearance and technology, the new Märklin model with its solid-frame tender is a real eye-catcher and an ideal addition to other class 52 locos on your model railroad at home. Pilot truck with solid wheels. Loco road number 52 6884. The loco looks as it did around 1951. Model: The loco has an mfx+ digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has a controlled high-performance motor with a flywheel, mounted in the boiler. 5 axles driven. Traction tires. The locomotive and solid-frame tender are constructed mostly of metal. Prepared for installation of a 7226 smoke generator kit. The dual headlights change over with the direction of travel. These and the smoke generator kit that can be installed in the loco will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. The cab lighting is also digitally controllable. Lighting with maintenance-free warm white LEDs. A buffer capacitor is fitted. Close coupling with a guide mechanism between the loco and tender. The rear of the tender and front of the loco have close couplers with NEM pockets and guide mechanisms. The buffer height conforms to NEM specifications. The minimum radius for operation is 360 mm / 14-3/16". Protective piston sleeves, brake hoses, and imitation screw couplers are included. Length over buffers 26.4 cm / 10-3/8". Matching freight cars for the era are available in the Märklin H0 range. A DC version of this model is available in the Trix H0 range as item 25535.
