The Gea Luce GLI022 is an LED high bay luminaire — a round black body 35.7 cm across, hung from a steel eyelet, putting out 26,000 lm for 200 W of input power. It is light for large-volume spaces: production and storage halls, workshops, canopies and technical buildings, where a single fitting has to cover tens of square metres of floor. 26,000 lm from 200 W — 130 lm/W An efficacy of 130 lumens per watt means the fitting returns 130 lm for every watt it draws. For comparison, getting the same 26,000 lm from an older 400 W metal-halide fitting would take twice the current. On shift work the difference shows up on the electricity bill from the first month. A 90° beam and 4000 K light The 90° beam angle aims the flux downwards, beneath the fitting, rather than spreading it across the walls — so the light lands where people and machines actually are. 4000 K is neutral white: not as sleepy as 3000 K, not as clinical as 6500 K, and the easiest colour to stay focused under for a whole shift. CRI above 90 — unusual in industrial lighting A colour rendering index above 90 is not something this class of fitting normally offers; typical hall luminaires stop at CRI 80. Above 90, the colours of cables, labels, paint finishes, fabrics and material samples read as they really are. That matters wherever quality control, sorting or assembly depends on telling shades apart. IP65 and protection class II IP65 means a dust-tight enclosure that also withstands water jets from a nozzle — the fitting copes with airborne dust, floor washing and the damp of an unheated warehouse. Protection class II means double insulation: the installation needs no protective earth conductor, which simplifies wiring in older buildings. Build and mounting The body is aluminium throughout; the ribbed upper section works as the heatsink that carries heat away from the diodes, which is what keeps the flux up over time. The fitting is 35.7 cm in diameter and just 4.1 cm deep in the body itself (5.8 cm including the steel mounting eyelet), and weighs 2.43 kg — light enough to hang from a single point: a chain, a steel wire or a hook. Rated life is 54,000 hours, over 12 years at 12 hours a day.
