Not a strip profile — a carrier for the TALIA profile The TALIA M3 is not a channel you drop LED tape into. It is a mounting profile: an aluminium carrier recessed into plasterboard, into which the actual TALIA or inTALIA lighting profile is then slid. That is how a TALIA — a surface profile by nature — disappears into the ceiling plane and leaves only a lit slot on show. The M3 itself therefore contains no cover, no tape and no lighting-profile end caps; it is a structural part bought alongside the rest of the system. Dimensions and how it seats The section is 97.4 mm wide overall and 52.6 mm high. The broad flange on each side is meant to be plastered over — what stays visible is the narrow edge around a 41.7 mm opening, with an internal channel depth of 41.2 mm. The manufacturer marks this explicitly on its drawing: only the visible edge is lacquered, the flanges are covered surface. This length is 2020 mm; 1000 and 3000 mm are also stocked, with non-standard lengths to 6 m on order. Adjustment and beam direction Combined with the TALIA inter-profile connector (14-3041-03) the TALIA profile can be moved vertically relative to the M3 and also set at an angle — that is how you throw light at a wall, a shelf or across the room instead of straight down. Fixing is by mounting springs (14-5001-00), as with ordinary plasterboard recessed fittings. The load figure worth knowing The manufacturer publishes the point at which the TALIA profile drops out of the M3 carrier: a vertical load of 3.5 kg per metre. The recommended number of connectors is 3 per metre — on long runs, or with a heavier cover, that is a number to allow for at the design stage rather than after installation. The rest of the system Dedicated aluminium end caps come in two finishes — full (black 12-0762-11) and basic (black 12-0772-11) — alongside connectors: straight 14-3032-02, 90° angular 14-3030-01, 120° angular 14-3036-01 and angular transverse 14-3038-01. Sections can be joined into longer runs. The driver sits inside or outside the profile depending on the design. Protection is IP20 — the carrier is not sealable and is not rated to be driven or walked over.
