DULIO is an aluminium profile with a 43 × 88.4 mm cross-section – considerably taller than a typical LED-strip channel. That height is not decoration: inside the body sits an empty 45.7 mm chamber that swallows the driver. As a result the profile can be suspended in the middle of a room as a pendant, with no transformer box anywhere else. The section in this variant is 2.02 m long and finished in black lacquer. Two strip chambers – light up and down This is DULIO's most important property. The profile has two independent channels: a narrower one on top (recess 20.8 mm at the mouth, 31.8 mm inside, 20.1 mm deep) and a wider one underneath (34.7 mm at the mouth, 39 mm cover seat, 20 mm deep). They can be fitted separately, which in practice gives three scenarios: the lower one alone – task light over a worktop or table; the upper one alone – soft diffusion bounced off the ceiling; both at once on separate circuits – a single fitting doing general and accent lighting. The profile accepts LED strips 5 × 12 mm wide. How much power it will take Aluminium is the heatsink here, so the permissible strip power depends on how hot you let the profile run. The manufacturer states the maximum dissipated power of the LED sources: 53.3 / 69.9 W at a 55 °C profile temperature and 29.2 / 38.6 W at 65 °C. That is generous for a profile – enough for powerful linear strips – but with long runs and high-draw strips it is worth doing the sums before ordering. What has to be bought alongside The profile is sold as the extrusion alone. Ordered separately are: covers (PMMA or PC) in 1 / 2.02 / 3 m – clear, frozen, milky, milky frosted, opal, black or silver, in DOUBLE, WIDE and RASTER DOUBLE versions; end caps in aluminium or plastic – with a hole, with a push-hole or without a hole, in white, black and silver/grey; accessories: straight connectors, 90° and 120° angular connectors, an angular transverse connector, the ILEDO mounting clip, the LUMINES reflector, a ø 5 mm cable holder and suspension kits. Installation DULIO mounts on the surface – to a ceiling or wall – or suspended on dedicated pendants. Fixing is by the matching accessories, mounting adhesive or properly selected screws. The profile has smooth walls and a small bending radius, and sections can be joined into runs and systems.
