Zambelis 22071 is a compact pendant: a spherical opal glass shade hung beneath a slim matt-gold sleeve. The whole fitting is 20 cm across and 33 cm tall — a scale at which one piece lights a bedside table or a reading corner, while three in a row make a complete lighting scheme over a kitchen island. Opal glass instead of a bare bulb The shade is 20 cm in diameter and 18 cm tall, and the glass is opal — milky right through, not just coated. The bulb stays out of sight and light leaves the whole surface of the globe evenly. The practical consequence is that you can hang this low, at eye level over a worktop or table, without glare — something a clear shade will not allow. Matt gold, not polish The manufacturer names the colour Gold Matt. A matt metal finish throws no pinpoint reflections and does not show fingerprints the way polished brass does, while keeping the warm tone that sits well with wood, beiges and darker joinery. Gold parts are the 10 cm ceiling rose, the sleeve above the shade and the ring that holds the glass. A drop adjustable up to 150 cm The fitting hangs on a 150 cm fabric cable that is shortened during installation — the luminaire itself adds its own 33 cm below that. The ceiling rose is only 10 cm across and 2.5 cm deep, so it needs no cut-out and no void above the ceiling: it mounts on the surface over an ordinary junction box. An E27 socket — you choose the source The fitting takes one E27 bulb on 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz. Maximum bulb power is 40 W, which is the thermal limit of a closed glass shade — in practice a 5–9 W LED is ample. The bulb is not supplied, so the colour and the output are your choice; warm 2700 K suits the gold best. The manufacturer specifies no dimming provision for this luminaire, so dimming depends entirely on whether the bulb you buy is dimmable and whether the circuit has a suitable dimmer. Installation and safety The luminaire is protection class I, meaning its metal parts must be connected to a protective earth conductor. In older installations without an earth, that is a condition to check before buying. The IP20 rating restricts it to dry rooms — it is not for bathroom zones or outdoors.
