Asker DC1310CG is a low garden bollard shaped like an inverted L: a slim cast-aluminium profile 55 cm tall, topped by a head cantilevered 20 cm to one side with a shielded lens tucked underneath. Norlys classifies it as a post light fixture whose light is shielded and directed downward. It needs a 24 V supply — this is not a 230 V fitting The first thing to check before buying: the LED module runs on 24 V direct current and requires an external, voltage-stabilised power supply that is not included. The luminaire is protection class III, i.e. fed from safety extra-low voltage. Connecting it straight to 230 V mains will destroy the module. Norlys reserves the choice of power supply and the execution of the installation for a suitably qualified person — long cable runs have to account for voltage drop, and several fittings have to be summed for load. The upside is that the garden carries safe 24 V rather than mains 230 V, and the fittings can be looped: the terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm² with a through connection onward, for round-jacketed cable of 5–12 mm diameter. The LED module is dimming-compatible — dimming is handled at the power supply. Shielded light, zero upward emission The head conceals the source completely: the 533 lm output leaves only downward and washes the surface right at the bollard. Upward light output ratio is 0% and the BUG rating is B0-U1-G0 — the fitting throws no light into the sky and causes virtually no glare. That matters where lighting is meant to guide along a path rather than shine into the walker's eyes or a neighbour's windows. The 7.2 W module produces 1064 lm, of which 533 lm leaves the luminaire — the remainder is the deliberate price of shielding. Luminaire efficacy is 62.7 lm/W at 8.5 W input. Colour is 3000 K, CRI 80, colour consistency SDCM3, declared L90B10 life above 52,330 hours. Built for years in the open The body is powder-painted cast aluminium, the lens structured polycarbonate, UV-stabilised, with a silicone gasket and an EPDM cable gland. IP65 sealing and IK10 impact resistance are the set intended for permanent outdoor duty; the −30 to +50 °C operating range covers a Northern European winter with room to spare. LED photobiological risk: group RG0, i.e. none. Mounting The fitting is fixed through four ø8 mm holes spaced 18 × 50 mm. For setting it into ground the manufacturer offers a concreting anchor separately (1907ZX0009); on a finished surface — terrace, plinth, low wall — the bollard is screwed down directly. The light source is replaceable, but by a professional only.
