CHROMBO is a surface-mounted SLV wall light 30 cm wide, made of white-lacquered steel and satin glass. The integrated LED draws 8 W and gives 790 lumens in warm 3000 K at CRI 90. 790 lumens from eight watts That is 99 lm/W — very good efficiency for a decorative rather than technical fitting. In practice one CHROMBO gives roughly as much light as an old 60 W incandescent bulb, at a seventh of the draw. The 120° angle is wide, so the light spreads across the wall in both directions rather than drawing a hard band — this is a fitting for lighting a surface, not for accenting a single object. CRI 90 and satin glass A colour rendering index of 90 is rarely met in wall lights: the colours of walls, pictures and fabrics stay natural under it, without the grey shift typical of cheap CRI 80 LEDs. Satin glass — etched rather than opal — diffuses the flux enough that no diode dots show, while keeping a trace of transparency. Photobiological risk group 0 means no restriction whatsoever on looking at the fitting. Phase dimming — with no extra controller CHROMBO is a mains-voltage fitting, ready to connect straight to 230 V: no external driver is needed. It dims with a trailing-edge phase dimmer, the commonest type of wall dimmer for LEDs. That distinction matters — leading-edge dimmers, designed for incandescent lamps, can cause flicker. Dimensions and installation The fitting measures 30 × 10 × 9 cm and weighs 1.894 kg — a lot for a wall light, because the body is steel, so the fixing has to reach load-bearing substrate. It projects 9 cm from the wall, which allows hanging it in a corridor without risk of catching on it. Protection class I requires an earth conductor, and the IP20 rating limits installation to dry interiors. The operating range is −20 to +45 °C. Lifetime and warranty The declared LED lifetime is 50,000 hours — at three hours a day, over forty years. SLV backs the fitting with a 5-year warranty.
