KARPO is a single-head surface-mounted spot in a black cylinder 12.5 cm tall, seated on a round plate 9 cm across. It can be fitted on a wall or on a ceiling – and since the head sits on a joint, you aim it wherever it is needed after installation anyway. A joint, not a fixed position The cylinder rotates and tilts. The distinction matters in practice: rotation swings the beam sideways without twisting the whole base, tilt raises or lowers it. Together they give a freedom no fixed-direction fitting has: the same spot can be aimed at a picture in the living room and, once the furniture moves, redirected onto the armchair without disturbing a single screw in the wall. A 40° beam and CRI 90 A 40° angle is narrow for general lighting and wide for an accent spot – from two metres it lays down a pool about 1.5 m across with a defined but not hard edge. This is the distribution for lighting something specific: a picture, a shelf unit, a worktop, a corner of plants. CRI 90 deserves a separate pause. The standard in this price class is 80, and the difference shows exactly where an accent spot works: on a picture, on timber, on fabric and on leather. At 90 reds stay red instead of drifting to brown. For a fitting whose only job is to show an object, that is not a secondary figure. Power and output SLV quotes two numbers and both are correct: the LED module is 7.5 W and the whole fitting draws 9.3 W from the mains – the difference goes into the driver. Output is 560 lumens, roughly a 50 W incandescent bulb's worth, concentrated into 40°. The 3000 K colour is warm, the emission direct, and the module's secondary current 500 mA. Installation The fitting mounts on the surface via a plate 2.6 cm high and 9 cm across, on a 220–240 V AC 50/60 Hz supply – no external driver. It is protection class I, so an earth conductor is required; on older two-core wiring check before buying. Inrush current is 4.7 A for 30 µs, which matters when designing a circuit with many fittings. IP20 confines KARPO to dry interiors; maximum ambient temperature is 30 °C. Declared life: 30,000 hours.
