SOPRA 25 is a ceiling lamp from Candellux Studio, mounted flush against the ceiling. A black metal base holds a gold shade of openwork metal mesh, and inside it sits a hidden round glass diffuser. The whole fitting is only 19 cm high at 25 cm across, so it takes no headroom. Two shades, two jobs The inner glass diffuser spreads the beam evenly — it is what stops the light from glaring in your eyes as you walk underneath. The outer mesh does not hide it but filters it: light passing through the openings draws a soft, regular pattern on the ceiling and walls, most visible in the evening when daylight is not competing with it. The gold finish on the inside additionally warms the outgoing light. For low ceilings The fitting sits against the ceiling, so it works where a chandelier or a pendant simply does not fit vertically: a hallway, a bedroom with a lower ceiling, a corridor or a small dining area. At 25 cm across it suits a central light point in a small or medium room. GX53 socket — you choose the bulb The fitting has a single GX53 socket and takes sources of up to 10 W. The LED is not integrated here and no bulb is supplied — deliberately: GX53 is a flat, efficient format, and in this housing it can later be swapped for a different colour temperature or brightness without replacing the lamp. Colour temperature and lumen output therefore come with the bulb you choose. Build The construction is metal and glass. The manufacturer gives a 24-month warranty. The whole thing weighs about 1.6 kg, so installation needs no special reinforcement of the ceiling.
