HEX is a pendant set, that is the suspension on its own without a luminaire: a lacquered aluminium canopy 8 cm across and 2.7 cm deep, 150 cm of textile cable in a black-and-white zigzag weave, and a chrome-plated metal E27 lampholder at the end. What is in the box and what is not The box holds three parts: canopy, cable and lampholder. There is no bulb and no shade — both are bought separately, so hanging a finished lamp still needs at least a light source and, optionally, a shade. The cable is 150 cm, which sets the maximum drop. It is shortened at the canopy, so the set works over a table, where the holder comes down low, and at an ordinary ceiling, where the drop is short. The whole set weighs 320 g. Which bulb it takes The lampholder is chrome-plated metal with an E27 thread, and the manufacturer rates it at a maximum of 15 W. That is a bulb ceiling, not the set's own draw: an ordinary E27 incandescent at 40 or 60 W is above the limit, so in practice this takes an LED source. The set has no dimmer of its own. The manufacturer notes that dimming is possible with a suitable light source, which means the bulb and the dimmer in the circuit decide it, not the suspension. Supply is 230 V, straight from the ceiling point. Which shades it works with The suspension can be left bare — the chrome holder and the woven cable are finished on the outside — or carry a shade.
