Sartobind IEX membrane adsorber units combine the advantages of using Sartobind membranes for ion exchange chromatography with the design of a syringe head. This ensures fast and easy sample handling. Sartobind® Ion Exchange Membrane Adsorbers (IEX) are ready-to-use syringe filter-type units. They all contain the patented Sartobind membrane with a microporous structure of 3 µm pore size. The ion exchange ligands are covalently bonded to the entire inner surface of the membrane, resulting in separation media with high binding capacity and very high flow rates. The binding of the ion exchange ligands is very stable, allowing many cycles of use without loss of binding capacity. Sartobind MA ion exchange units are available in strong or weak anionic (Q and D) and strong cationic (S) types and in three sizes ranging from 15 cm² to 100 cm² membrane area, corresponding to a static binding capacity between 12 mg and 80 mg protein per unit.
