With an optically transparent window made from 1.5 mm (1/16 inch) thick polycarbonate, this face shield provides protection against impact as well as protection against UV radiation in the range of 200 to 360 nm. It is useful in germicidal procedures as well as when reading chromatographic/ electrophoretic strips and gels.
