GromSil phases are characterized not only by their high chemical selectivity, but also by their excellent physical properties: They are absolutely spherical, completely porous and have a high specific surface area. Therefore, GromSil-packed columns exhibit excellent flow properties (e.g. low back pressure), high efficiency (i.e. high plate count) and remarkable peak symmetry. Dr. Maisch is a manufacturer of the validated Gromsil phases of high quality. In 2015, Dr. Maisch acquired the company Grom-Analytik from Grace Alltech: Grom was a German HPLC column packer known for its excellent capillary columns and amino acid HPLC kits.
