DALLAS pendant lamp MOD545PL-11BS Maytoni

Name: DALLAS pendant lamp MOD545PL-11BS Maytoni
Brand: Maytoni

DALLAS MOD545PL-11BS is a pendant lamp built around a flat gold-finished ring 67 cm across. Eleven white opal glass spheres in two sizes, 12 and 10 cm in diameter, sit on the ring in several clusters. The whole fixture hangs from three thin cables attached to a round ceiling rose. How high it hangs and how much room it takes Suspension height is set by the cable length, anywhere between 37,5 cm and 137 cm from the ceiling. Above a table the bottom of the spheres is usually placed 70–80 cm over the top, and a 67 cm ring keeps its proportion above a table 80–90 cm wide or wider. The lit part alone is about 25 cm tall, so at full drop the lamp occupies more than a metre below the ceiling — a figure worth comparing with the height of your own room. The ceiling rose measures 12 cm across and 2,5 cm deep, and the fixture weighs 4,3 kg, so in a plasterboard ceiling the fixing has to reach the supporting structure. How much light it gives and which bulbs it takes The fixture has eleven G9 sockets rated up to 28 W each. Eleven separate points spread around the ring scatter light in every direction instead of aiming one beam downwards, and the opal glass of the spheres softens it further and hides the filament. The manufacturer states that the fixture is not dimmable, so brightness is set by the choice of bulbs rather than by a dimmer. The lamp is protection class I and needs an earth conductor in the ceiling box, while its IP20 rating limits it to dry interiors. Finish and the rooms it is meant for The ring, the arms and the ceiling rose are metal with a gold, satin-sheen finish; the shades are blown glass in a solid white. The form is modern and free of ornament — it is carried by the rhythm of the repeated spheres and a single narrow band of metal. The lamp is intended over a dining table and for living rooms and bedrooms, while the size of the ring and the number of light points also suit a hotel lobby or a restaurant floor. The Dallas series also includes a ceiling light, a wall light and a floor lamp, so several rooms can be kept in one shape language.Mostrar mais
