Casablanca 3 Light Pendant - Palladian Bronze Elstead

Name: Casablanca 3 Light Pendant - Palladian Bronze Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Casablanca is a Quoizel pendant, distributed in Europe by Elstead Lighting. The shade is a 46.5 cm sphere woven from light-brown natural paper rope over a steel frame. The metal parts — the collar above the shade, the chain and the ceiling pan — are finished in Palladian Bronze, a dark, warm bronze. Size and hanging height The fitting itself is 57.6 cm tall. It hangs on 182.8 cm of chain, and the overall drop from the ceiling to the bottom of the sphere can be set during installation anywhere from 68.6 to 251.4 cm by shortening the chain. Over a table it is usually hung so that the bottom of the shade sits 70–80 cm above the top, and a sphere of this diameter suits a table wider than about 90 cm so that it does not overwhelm it. The round ceiling pan is 13.95 cm across and 1.9 cm deep. The pendant weighs 2.3 kg and is Class I, so it must be connected to an earth conductor. The manufacturer specifies it for indoor use only. What light it gives Inside the sphere are three E27 lampholders, each for a bulb of up to 60 W. Bulbs are not included. The rope weave is open, so some light passes through the gaps between the strands and some is softened by the paper — the sphere glows warm and soft rather than as an even surface. With three LED bulbs of about 800 lm each, the output matches three old 60 W bulbs. Where it fits The manufacturer places Casablanca in the transitional style, which blends classic and modern forms, and specifies it for the living room and dining room, over a table. The dark bronze of the chain and collar stands out clearly against the light weave of the sphere.Mostrar mais
