The s.luce Orb 3-light chandelier belongs to the modular Orb system: three hand-blown glass spheres in a copper-gradient finish, each a different size — 20, 30 and 40 cm in diameter. The body and mounting bar are metal, and the whole fixture hangs from a white ceiling bar 120 cm long.How it hangs and how to arrange the spheresThe bar measures 120 x 10 x 4 cm and has a slot running its full length, letting you slide the suspension points along it — the three spheres can be spaced evenly or grouped toward one end, depending on the shape of the table underneath. Each sphere hangs on its own white cable, individually shortened to a maximum of 150 cm, so the 20, 30 and 40 cm spheres can be hung at different heights relative to each other rather than level with one another.The whole fixture weighs 6.15 kg — on a plasterboard ceiling the fixing should reach the load-bearing structure behind it, not just the board itself.How much light it givesThe three E27 holders each take a bulb of up to 40 W; bulbs are not included, so colour temperature and brightness are chosen at purchase. The fixture only dims with bulbs the manufacturer labels dimmable — no dimmer module is included. The electrics run on protection class I, meaning it needs an earthed circuit.Which rooms it suitsThe manufacturer positions this fixture over a dining table, over a kitchen island or worktop, and as living-room lighting.
