Wakefield large wall lantern 3xE14 IP44 – Earth Black, clear seeded glass – Quoizel / Elstead

Name: Wakefield large wall lantern 3xE14 IP44 – Earth Black, clear seeded glass – Quoizel / Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

The large Wakefield is a wall lantern from Quoizel, distributed by Elstead Lighting: an angular body with a frame-within-a-frame, a stepped roof and clear seeded glass panels, finished in textured Earth Black. Inside are three candle-style lampholders. How big it is and where to hang it The lantern is 43.3 cm high and 27.3 cm wide, and it projects 29.9 cm from the wall. That depth matters on a narrow path or under a porch roof — measure how much space is left in front of the door. It weighs 4.67 kg, so the fixings need to go into solid masonry. Where there is no flat stretch of wall by the entrance, Elstead offers a separately sold corner bracket (C-BKT2-BROWN or C-BKT2-BLACK). IP44 protects against water splashing from any direction, so the lantern can hang on the facade by the front door or a garage door. The body is a weather-resistant polymer composite, and the manufacturer states protection against sea water — a point for houses on the coast, where salty air quickly damages ordinary metal finishes. What light it gives and what you need to buy The lantern has three E14 sockets, each for a bulb of up to 40 W. No bulbs are included, so you need to buy three. The seeded glass is clear and the lampholders are candle-shaped, so slim candle or tubular bulbs with a visible filament suit it — they will be on show through the panels. The fitting works with a dimmer if the bulbs used are dimmable. Construction and style It is a Class I fitting, so it must be connected to an earth conductor, and it runs on 220–240 V mains. The design draws on the Arts and Crafts movement: a frame within a frame, rectangular panes and a heavy roof give it the look of a traditional lantern that suits classic and vintage-style facades.Pokaż więcej
