This is a new T-piece with a valve for the manual windshield washer system, which is installed in the 356 B and C between the reservoir, pump, and line to split the washer fluid to the two nozzles. From July 1962 onwards, the electric system was standardized, with one valve per nozzle. For right-hand drive vehicles, this valve is supplemented with a different one.
