Polygonal openings and narrow slots appear between the black painted steel bands, revealing the interior rather than concealing it. Broad solid rims at the top and bottom provide a calm boundary for the freer drawing across the middle.The light source remains in viewThe bulb can be seen through the openwork sides and from beneath the fitting. Its globe shape can therefore alter the character of the complete composition.
