This is an accessory, not a luminaire. Distance 157GR is a flat steel plate of 11 × 11 × 1.5 cm, fitted between the wall and a Namsos Mini wall light to stand the fitting off the surface. It does not light and contains no electronics. Why stand a wall light off the wall Usually for one of several reasons. On an uneven façade — stone, clinker brick, timber cladding — the flat base of a fitting does not seat evenly and its gasket cannot work as intended; the spacer provides a flat, true mounting surface. On external insulation it brings the fixing out past the render layer. And it is often needed where an installation box protrudes beyond the wall face and the fitting will not close onto it. Construction The plate is galvanised and powder-coated steel — the order matters: zinc under the paint protects the edges at drilled holes and at scratches, which is exactly where corrosion starts on a façade. The graphite RAL 7016 is the same as on Norlys fittings in that finish, so the spacer does not stand out from the wall light. The aluminium version, RAL 9006, carries the symbol 157AL. Which fittings it suits The manufacturer names two articles: Namsos Mini 1341 and Namsos Mini 5156. The luminaires are sold separately — this product is the spacer alone.
