LIMEA GIGANT is a 60 cm hermetic batten in a black polycarbonate housing. The integrated 20 W LED module delivers 3000 lumens at a neutral 4000 K, with the driver inside. What IP65 and IK10 actually mean IP65 is full dust-tightness plus resistance to water jetted from a nozzle in any direction. In practice that means the fitting can be hosed down, hung over a bench where wood or flour dust hangs in the air, and left in an unheated hall. IK10 is the top of the mechanical-impact scale — the housing withstands a 20-joule blow, i.e. a 5 kg mass dropped from 40 cm. That is the parameter these fittings are chosen for in garages, warehouses and workshops: catching one with a plank or a tool does not mean a new diffuser. 163 lumens per watt An efficacy of 163 lm/W puts this fitting high in its class — typical hermetic battens at this level manage 100–130 lm/W. At 20 W of draw, 3000 lumens is roughly what a twin 18 W T8 fluorescent fitting gave, at about a third of the energy. The energy class is C, with consumption of 20 kWh per 1000 hours. The light: 4000 K, CRI 80, 120° Neutral white 4000 K is the standard for working spaces — more legible than warm light, less clinical than cool. The 120° spread throws light wide, so these fittings can be spaced further apart than narrow-beam ones: from 3 m one covers a band about 10 m across. CRI 80 is sufficient for workshop and warehouse work. Hygiene certificate The manufacturer states the fitting holds a National Institute of Hygiene certificate, admitting it to rooms with raised hygienic requirements — food processing, cold stores, catering back-of-house. For some of those uses this is not a decoration but a condition of sign-off. Mounting and operating conditions The fitting can be surface-mounted or suspended. It works from −20 to +40 °C, so an unheated garage or carport is within range. It is protection class I and needs an earth conductor connected. It is not dimmable. Rated life is 50,000 hours over 25,000 switching cycles, and the warranty is 5 years.
