WORKS IP65 is a batten light fitting from the Danish brand Nordlux – the classic workshop tube fitting, 155.3 cm long, 10.2 cm wide and 7.3 cm high, in a grey plastic housing with metal parts. The manufacturer names its place plainly: garage, basement, workshop. The LED tubes are included The fitting has two G13 sockets and – worth stressing, because it varies in this product class – the LED tubes are supplied. Together they give 4220 lm at 48 W actual draw (maximum 24 W per tube). 4000 K is neutral white, the right colour for work; colour rendering Ra 80, beam angle 120°, rated life 25,000 hours. A G13 socket also means that years from now you replace the tube, not the fitting. Parallel connection A practical feature in long rooms: the fittings can be connected in parallel, carrying the supply from one to the next rather than running a separate cable to each. In a two-bay garage or a basement that runs the length of the house, that saves real installation work. The manufacturer calls the system "easy connect". Resistance: IP65 and IK06 IP65 is complete dust protection and resistance to water jets – the fitting copes with grinding dust, damp and a hosed-down floor.
