Profile C is an aluminium corner extrusion from the LUMINES family: it mounts in the inside corner where two perpendicular surfaces meet, and holds the LED strip at 45°. This variant is lacquered white to RAL 9016 and is 1 metre long. Why 45 degrees An ordinary profile screwed to a wall throws light straight down or straight forward. The C corner profile aims the output diagonally – towards the worktop, the shelf or the wall it sits against. The light lands on the working plane instead of bouncing off it into your eyes, which is why the manufacturer names kitchen worktops, shelves and cabinet interiors, and shop displays, as its uses. The extrusion itself stays tucked in the corner and is all but invisible from the front. Dimensions and strip The section measures 16.6 mm on one leg and 11.3 mm on the other, 23.3 mm across the diagonal. The internal channel takes LED strips up to 12 mm wide – that covers the great majority of 8 and 10 mm tapes, but measure yours first, because RGBW and COB versions can be wider. Mounting The manufacturer allows two methods: double-sided tape or mounting clips. The CH clip comes in metal (white 13-0641-02, black 13-0782-02, silver 13-0120-02) and plastic (clear 13-0043-00). A fine-toothed hacksaw is enough to cut the profile to length; LED Labs also offers a 90° and 45° cutting service. What else you will need The profile is the body alone – cover and end caps are bought separately: BASIC covers, 1 m: transparent 11-2213-10, frozen 11-2212-10, milky 11-2211-10, milky frosted 11-2216-10, black 11-2217-10, and the lensed lens 15 (11-2060-10) and lens 30 (11-2080-10); aluminium end caps: with hole 12-0042-10 (black) and 12-0045-10 (silver/grey), without hole 12-0042-11 and 12-0045-11; white, inox and gold are ABS; accessories: pendant kits, a ⌀5 mm cable holder, a hinge, and the contactless switch 14-7052-00. Variants The same profile comes in 1 m, 2.02 m and 3 m lengths and six finishes: white lacquered (10-0031-xx), black anodised (10-0032-xx), inox anodised (10-0033-xx), silver anodised (10-0034-xx), raw (10-0030-xx) and gold RAL 1923 (10-1686-xx). The raw version is the cheapest and intended for places where the profile is hidden.
