CABINET is a linear LED module 500 mm long with a 29 × 10 mm section, in a silver aluminium housing. The SMD diodes sit visible under a clear cover, and one end of the bar carries a black cap holding the lens of a PIR motion sensor. The sensor switches it, not a wall switch The manufacturer gives a detection range of 2–4 m, so the sensor answers a hand reaching into the cabinet and a person stepping up to the worktop, not movement across the whole room. On a sensor-driven fitting a second figure from the data sheet matters: 15,000 switching cycles. At a few dozen passes a day that is years of use, but it is this number, rather than the stated 17,000 hours of burning time, that is spent first in this application. How much light, and what colour The module puts out 400 lm for 5.3 W, which is 75 lm/W, and 6000 K is cold white — a visibly bluish light of the kind used over a worktop, in a wardrobe or in a display case, rather than for evening light in a living room. Colour rendering is Ra 80 and the beam is 120°, so half a metre of bar lights the full depth of an ordinary cabinet. The diodes sit under a clear cover and the individual points are visible close up — the bar belongs under a cabinet edge rather than at eye level. 12 V supply — no driver in the box The module runs on 12 V DC and draws 442 mA, in protection class III, that is on safety extra-low voltage. The data sheet states plainly that no driver is included: running it takes a separate 12 V constant-voltage driver with headroom above 5.3 W. The bar must not be wired to a 230 V socket. The manufacturer declares it dimmable — the control sits on the 12 V side. Mounting and operating conditions The bar is surface-mounted, on top of the surface, and is for indoor use only: IP20 offers no protection against water. The operating temperature range runs from −20 to +40 °C, and the light source is built in for good — when the diodes are spent the whole module is replaced, not a bulb.Pokaż więcej
