This is a rigid connector for SLV's three-circuit surface-mounted S-TRACK system – the part that joins two lengths of track in a straight line while also allowing mains to be fed in at that point. Two jobs in one part A typical installation needs a straight coupler and, separately, a feed-in. This component does both at once: it extends the run and serves as the 230 V connection point. That gives freedom when planning – the supply can enter exactly where the ceiling box happens to be, instead of the track lengths being tailored to it. Rigid means it joins sections in a straight line and does not flex: changing direction is the job of separate angled connectors. The DALI version This variant is DALI-compatible – the lighting control bus in which every fitting has its own address and can be dimmed and switched independently of the others. DALI is the standard in offices, meeting rooms and shops, where lighting has to respond to scenes or to presence detectors. In a DALI installation the control conductors run alongside the supply, so the connector has to be built for it – an ordinary three-circuit connector will not do. S-TRACK, not EUTRAC The part belongs to the SLV S-TRACK system, in the surface-mounted version, at mains voltage. A three-circuit track carries three independent circuits, so one run can drive three lighting scenes. It is designed for mounting on a ceiling or a wall. When selecting components it is worth staying within one system – profiles from different manufacturers can look alike while the spacing and arrangement of the conductors need not match.
