BARI is a pendant lamp built as a closed ring 98 cm across, made of aluminium in brushed gold. The light leaves through an acrylic diffuser that runs along the inner edge of the ring, so it falls into the circle and downwards. The fitting hangs from the ceiling on three thin cables. How big it is and where to hang it The ring is almost a metre across with a profile 5 cm deep — a flat, wide body. Compare the 98 cm with the width of your own table or the clear space above an island: over a top narrower than the ring itself, the fitting will overhang it. The manufacturer gives a total suspension height of 200 cm. Over a table the bottom edge of the ring belongs 70–80 cm above the top, roughly 155 cm above the floor — with a 2.7 m ceiling that works out at just under 115 cm of drop, clearly less than the stated 200 cm. One of the cables carries a cylindrical driver housing 8.5 cm across and 18.5 cm high, in the same gold finish. It hangs below the ceiling beside the ring and stays in view — it does not disappear into the slab. How much light BARI gives The source is built into the ring and is included: an LED module of 106 W giving 4899 lm at 3000 K, that is warm white. Close to five thousand lumens is around six times an old 60 W bulb, so this fitting lights a whole room rather than just the zone beneath it. The module is integrated, which means it cannot be swapped for another bulb — when it reaches its end, the whole fitting is replaced. Nothing has to be bought alongside it: the lamp works as soon as it is connected to 230 V. Materials and finish The structure is the aluminium profile of the ring plus the acrylic diffuser that spreads the light. The manufacturer calls the colour brushed gold — a matt finish without mirror gloss, across the whole outer and upper face of the ring and on the driver housing. The form is as plain as it gets: one circle, no ornament, no arms and no visible joints.
