Microsorb phenyl is a phenylpropylsilane-bound silica with a complete endcap. In addition to separating compounds by hydrophobic reverse phase interaction, similar to C8, it also separates compounds based on differences in direction or number of pi electrons. This property makes phenyl columns ideal for the separation of aromatic compounds, compounds synthesized by oxidation or reduction, and natural products with different numbers or positions of double bonds. This column has an inner diameter of 4.6 mm, a length of 250 mm and 5.0 µm large particles. The Microsorb MV columns are packed with the same high quality packing material as the regular Microsorb columns and have the same performance. The difference is that MV columns are tested in batches rather than individually, resulting in significant cost savings. Microsorb MV columns are useful when budget is limited or when columns degrade prematurely due to sample matrix or other effects.Pokaż więcej
