Once the grease has been washed out of the tie rod end or axial joint, the ball joint will fail within a few thousand kilometers. At the latest, the defective rubber boots or ball joints will be flagged during the vehicle inspection (TÜV). Because replacing the tie rod always requires a new wheel alignment with toe adjustment, it is recommended to replace the entire tie rod depending on its condition. We offer a wide variety of tie rod ends, axial joints, and complete tie rods, also with the correct steering boots.These axial joints feature an optimized "turbo design." This is characterized by the play-free ball joint. True to the original design, the Carrera models on the 911 G-model and 964 featured a ball joint with a rubber bushing.
