GFA1920N Gea Luce recessed LED fitting white 3 W 240 lm 4000 K CRI 90 IP65

Name: GFA1920N Gea Luce recessed LED fitting white 3 W 240 lm 4000 K CRI 90 IP65
Brand: Gea Luce

GFA1920N is a small 3 W recessed fitting in an aluminium housing finished in satin white. It weighs 0.11 kg, which puts it among the components that all but disappear once installed — only the round face remains in the plane of the ceiling. CRI above 90 at 240 lm This is the most interesting figure on the fitting. A colour rendering index above 90 belongs to a class usually reserved for retail and gallery lighting: skin, timber and fabric look as they do in daylight, without the flattening of reds that gives cheaper diodes away. The price is lower efficacy — 240 lm from 3 W is about 80 lm/W, noticeably less than a CRI 80 fitting manages. It is a deliberate trade: brightness given up for colour fidelity. A narrow 24° beam and 4000 K A 24° angle is an accent beam — the light falls in a concentrated cone and picks out one thing: a basin, a mirror, a niche, a section of façade. 4000 K is neutral white with no yellow cast; combined with CRI above 90 it gives clean, faithful light, the kind that lets you judge skin tone and make-up in a bathroom without surprises. IP65 — for a bathroom and under a soffit IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets. For a fitting this size that is a lot: it can go into a bathroom ceiling outside the safe zone, into a roof soffit, an arcade or above an entrance. Class II means double insulation, so the fitting needs no earth conductor — which can be decisive when refurbishing an older installation. Service life and use Declared service life is 30,000 h, which at three hours a day is over twenty-seven years. Supply is 230 V. The energy efficiency class of the light source used is G — a consequence of choosing high-CRI diodes, which by definition deliver fewer lumens per watt.
