Verity 1 Light Bathroom Wall Light IP44 – Brushed Brass Elstead

Name: Verity 1 Light Bathroom Wall Light IP44 – Brushed Brass Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Verity is a single-light wall light from Elstead Lighting's own range, modelled on the Olympic torch. A slim, faceted brushed brass stem tapers towards the bottom and rises from a rectangular wall plate, holding at its top a flared shade of cut glass with a fine diamond pattern. How big it is and where it fits The wall light is 50.6 cm high, 12.6 cm wide and projects 20 cm from the wall. Its tall, narrow outline fits a slim strip of wall – either side of a mirror, for example, or between doors in a corridor – and the 50.6 cm height is worth comparing with the space left above the basin and below the ceiling. It weighs 1.76 kg. IP44 means protection against splashing water from any direction, so the manufacturer intends the light for bathrooms but also for corridors and other living spaces. In a bathroom it goes outside the direct reach of the shower. It is a Class I fitting, so the circuit must include an earth conductor. What light it gives The wall light has a G9 lampholder and comes with a 3 W G9 LED bulb, so there is nothing else to buy. The bulb gives 300 lm at 3000 K, a warm white – a mood-level brightness suited to washing the wall and supplementing the main lighting, rather than being the only light at a mirror. The supplied bulb is dimmable and the fitting works with a dimmer, so brightness can be turned down, for instance at night. The cut glass breaks up the light across its facets. When the bulb wears out it is replaced with a standard G9 – the LED is not built into the fitting. Which interiors it suits The manufacturer calls Verity a more contemporary take on the torch-style wall light: a geometric stem and a shade with a strongly patterned glass. It suits a bathroom, a corridor and a dining room, and a pair either side of a mirror gives symmetrical light. The Verity range also comes in polished chrome and polished gold.Meer tonen
