The triple headlights and dual red marker lights change over with the direction of travel, will work in conventional operation, and can be controlled digitally. The headlights at Locomotive Ends 2 and 1 can be turned off separately in digital operation. When the headlights are off at both ends, the double "A" light function is on at both ends. There is a lighted train destination display "IC 2045 Dresden Hbf" at the ends above the cabs. Maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs are used for the lighting. Length over the buffers approximately 21.7 cm / 8-1/2". The IC2 bi-level cars to go with this locomotive can also be found in the Märklin H0 assortment under item numbers 43486, 43487, 43488, 43489, and 43490 to form a prototypical 6-part train unit.
