Alford Place QN-ALFORD-PLACE8-L-MB is an outdoor pendant lantern in the Quintiesse range, from the Hinkley collection. Its Museum Black aluminium frame surrounds clear glass panels and three candle-style lamp holders. A glazed pitched roof and chain suspension give the lantern a traditional outline without concealing the chosen bulbs.Allow for the complete hanging heightThe lantern body is 49.5 cm high and 30.5 cm in diameter. That body measurement is not the installed hanging height: the manufacturer specifies an overall drop of 61 to 216.7 cm, adjusted during installation. A 152.4 cm chain is included.Compare the complete drop with the ceiling height and the clearance needed below the lantern. At an entrance, allow for the door swing as well as people passing underneath. The 30.5 cm diameter also helps you judge the lantern's proportions against the overhead structure. Installation-time adjustment should not be confused with a mechanism for raising and lowering the fitting every day.Choose three E14 bulbs separatelyThere are three E14 sockets, each rated for a maximum 40 W lamp. Bulbs are not included. With clear glazing, their shape remains part of the visible design, while the chosen light colour affects the illumination. A covered terrace, balcony or gazebo can also be considered where the mounting conditions and available height suit the fitting. Its Class I electrical construction requires a protective earth connection.Black framing, transparent glass and the candle-style arrangement suit traditional architecture and restrained modern-classic schemes.
