Microsorb C18 is a silica bonded to octadecylsilane that is mixed with a monofunctional reagent under optimal conditions to maximize coverage. The packing material is then terminated with trimethylsilyl groups to minimize the influence of the substrate silica. The result is high recovery and excellent peak shape. Because of our unique manufacturing process, Agilent offers reliable and reproducible columns with guaranteed performance. C18 columns are used primarily in water/methanol or water/acetonitrile solvent combinations, and are excellent for the separation of low-molecular-weight substances, proteins, and peptides, depending on their hydrophobicity. The Microsorb column presented here is 150 mm long, has an inner diameter of 4.6 mm and uses 5.0 µm large particles.Meer tonen
