Hayle is a large round decorative mirror from the British brand Gallery Direct. The manufacturer describes it briefly and accurately: "striking and simplistic round metal framed feature mirror in a soft champagne finish". Its whole strength lies in the proportions — a metre across, with a frame just 2 mm wide. A frame you barely see This is the mirror's most important specification and also the easiest to overlook. The frame is 2 mm wide — an outline rather than a surround. The effect is that the glass appears to float on the wall, while the champagne metal reads as a thin, warm line closing the circle. Wide-framed mirrors dominate a wall; Hayle does the opposite — it gives the wall back its reflection and disappears.
