Two arms, four globes, one axis PLATO is built around a vertical gold stem through which two black arms pass at different heights and different angles. Four white opal glass globes, 15 cm across, sit at their ends. Because the arms cross rather than lie in one plane, the fitting looks different from every corner of the room — four globes in a row from one side, a scattered two-level arrangement from another. This is not a light for a small side table — it wants the space above a kitchen island, a long table, or an open-plan living room. Overall height with the suspension is 130 cm, of which the arm and globes take only a small part; the rest is black cable running up to the gold canopy. Four G9 sockets at 5 W maximum Each globe takes its own G9 lamp of up to 5 W. That limit is low even for LED, so the fitting gives decorative, atmospheric light rather than working light — four five-watt lamps come to 20 W in total, comparable to a single stronger lamp in an ordinary fixture. Above a kitchen island it is worth planning separate task lighting (an under-cabinet strip, say) and treating PLATO as the element that sets the mood and organises the space. Bulbs are not included; four are needed, preferably diffuse ones so no bright point shows inside the opal glass. The combination works with brass-toned taps and with black window frames or cabinet handles — and the globes keep the whole in a softer register than an all-black-and-gold fitting would. Net weight is only 1 kg, which makes installation easier at this span but calls for a solid anchor behind the canopy, since a wide fitting acts as a lever. Where it works IP20 points to dry rooms: a kitchen, a dining room, a living room, a hallway wide enough to take it. Given a span of over a metre, measure the space first — particularly above a worktop, where a sensible clearance is around 70–80 cm above the surface.
