At a typical ceiling height such an output corresponds to general lighting for a room of 20–30 m², that is a generous living room or an open day space. In a smaller room the fitting still makes sense, but then the dimmer stops being an option and becomes part of the installation. 3000 K against a gold finish 3000 K is warm white. Combined with the champagne gold of the body it gives the whole composition a coherent, honeyed tone — gold under warm light "warms" further still than under neutral light. If the interior is done in cool greys and whites, that is worth bearing in mind: the contrast between a warm fitting and a cool background will be clear and deliberate, but not neutral.
